HABESHA On Black In America 2
Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 03:32PM
HABESHA is a community based organization in the city of Atlanta, founded in 2002 by Cashwan Meyers. Their focus is on the uplift of the youth in the City of Atlana based in the Mechanicsville area. HABESHA will be featured on Black In America 2 later this month on the topic of urban gardening. I, like one of the commenter’s on this blog, am a bit skeptical of the purpose of the Black In America series, however I have admired the work of HABESHA in Atlanta.

HABESHA is beautiful and wonderful program. My sistren is trying to establish HABESHA here in NY, little by little. I am trying to contribute any way I can so that it exists for my sons when they are old enough. Brother Cashawn, who I met once, is a real inspiration and his vision is contagious! Give thanks for sharing about HABESHA!. :)
I pray your sistren will be sucessful
