There is another Black person and woman running for president

Cynthia McKinneyThe mainstream media hasn't covered this candidate that has the experience and a record of speaking truth to power.  Take a look at Cynthia McKinney's resume.

A former six-term Member of Congress from Georgia, Cynthia McKinney proved herself a courageous voice for the voiceless, unafraid to speak truth to power. Cynthia's Power to the People Committee is working to put Cynthia on fifty-one ballot lines!

Cynthia:

* Consistently opposed funding for bloated military and secret intelligence budgets;

* Introduced Articles of Impeachment for George Bush, Dick Cheney, and Condoleezza Rice;

* Introduced, championed, and passed in the U.S. House the Arms Trade Code of Conduct, prohibiting the sale of arms to known human rights abusers;

* Authored legislation to end the use of depleted uranium weapons;

* Passed legislation to extend health benefits for Vietnam War veterans still suffering the health effects from exposure to the defoliant Agent Orange;

* Challenged Pentagon Secretary Rumsfeld and Chairman Myers of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on the $2.3 trillion missing Pentagon money and on U.S.-sponsored war games taking place on September 11, 2001;

* Currently serves on (a) International Tribunal on Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, (b) Brussels Tribunal on Iraq, (c) is participating in War Crimes prosecutions in Spain, and (d) is working with the Malaysian Peace Organization to criminalize war;

* Introduced legislation to eliminate federal subsidies for corporations taking jobs overseas.

Cynthia was never afraid to introduce legislation that showed her moral compass and where she felt our country ought to be. In that regard, after the tragedy of September 11th, 2001, Cynthia introduced legislation that would allow the survivors of the tragedy's victims to sue those responsible for the attacks as well as participate in the Victims Compensation Fund. She introduced legislation to establish a national living wage and she also introduced legislation to repeal the Military Tribunals Act. Her signature environmental piece of legislation was the National Forest Protection and Restoration Act which would have provided much-needed jobs and revenues for the restoration and protection of America's national forests. McKinney successfully authorized the USDA disparity study that demonstrated USDA discrimination against minority farmers. McKinney, like so many Americans, has long held Green values. McKinney is now proudly a Green.

Police kill a young mother while holding her baby!

Photo

Tarika Wilson, age 26.

Tarika wilson was gunned down by swat team police officers while they were serving a warrent (suspicion of possesion of crack cocaine) for the arrest of her boyfriend, anthony terry, on friday night january 4th of this year in lima, ohio.  what's stunning to me is the fact that the officer shot ms. wilson while she was holding her one year old son sincere.  the bullet pierced the arm of the infant going through killing ms. wilson, and  requiring the amputation of one of the baby's fingers.

There are many things wrong with this picture. first, what kind of human being will fire a weapon at a person, while they're holding a baby?!  Why, come into the house lobbing stun grenades, and weapons drawn when in the words of police chief greg garlock, that this was "a long term investigation", then they had to know ms. wilson was the mother of 6 children ranging in age from one to eight, and living in the home.

sadly, this is another case of many of our people living in the "ghetto" of the mind and passing on the curse of generational poverty.  Another case of just surviving on a daily basis.  this is not an excuse for the life that ms. wilson or mr. terry chose or was dealt, depending on your point of view.  but, an indictment of our government's handling or lack of handling problems that lead to this life style, whether it be the officer that killed her or the actions of mr. terry that brought the police there in the first place.   this appears to be the same mindset of the "destroyers" living in dunbar villiage, florida or the killers on hovey street, that took the lives of two women and their small children in Indiana.  Same low mindset  for both ms. wilson, mr. terry and the s.w.a.t. officer that took the life of a young mother holding a baby, and possibly destroying the lives of of all the children.

Final words from a Prophet

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Rev. Dr. Marting Luther King Jr

Whats the science of a black face running for AND WINNING THE presidenCY of the united states?  I'm convinced, should Sen. obama win the presidency he will be deadlocked into getting nothing accomplished other than making the populace feel good.  He will be but a drop of water in an inferno.  i mentioned before that we should mind our minds, but maybe the thrust of what i'm pushing, when i say this, is being LOST.  each and every day, the noise is increasing, but the tone is really sad.  it's the sound of mainstream media coming from our people'S MOUTHS.  if we really believe we'RE such a strong people, why do you fall for the same trickS?  SPIN is the media noise i continue to hear.  first, let me mention, i believe the "O" man is a super intelligent black man (i can say that, since he's a presidential candidate that "happens" to be black, whatever that means) and politician.  the "o" man knows the game he decided to play is A DIRTY GAME, an ugly war.  Why then are our people crying about "the clintons" injecting race ino the fray?  being the radio talk show fan that I am, i listen to power talk hosted by lorraine jacques-white on 1380 am here in atlanta every morning, and it strikes me deeply how many people are affected by the victim's mentality in the black community. CALLS LIKE THIS, "the clintons are injecting race into the CAMPAIGN to make barak look like the "black" candidate in the minds of white voters, to take WHITE votes away from him!!" to which the host agrees.  WHY Do you believe the clinton campaign is that powerful?  IF SO, Why?  actually the primary stats don't bear that claim out at all.  obama won in counties where there was less than a 3% black population, according to Rep. james clyburn of south Carolina.  the "o" man also, won 58% of all voters aged 18-64, and HE WON 22% OF white femaleS and 27% white male VOTES, and on monday after the primary this is what black people are saying??  SOUNDS LIKE MAINSTREAM SPIN CREATING A WHOA IS ME EFFECT IN SOME BLACK PEOPLE.

victim's mentality!

the media is planting thE seed of the victim, into the minds of the those black folk that will not think for themselves.  Notice, that when clinton attacks obama's voting record its portrayed by the media as an attack on "black" obama personally AND HOW WILL "PO' BLACK FOLK FEEL ABOUT THAT".  yet, when john mccain attackS mitt romney's record, its never twisted to look like a personal attack on a mormon!  Take a look at whats happening through your eyes and not the lens of mainstream media.  but, think now, think about what you're happy about should the "o" man win the presidency.  what are black people going to be singing praises about?  I'll leave you with this from harry belafonte concerning a visit to his hoME by dr. King SHORTLY BEFORE REV KING WAS ASSASINATED 1968.

"on our last visit before he was murdered, dr. king appeared to be agitated and preoccupied, and I asked HIM what the matter was, he said, i've come upon something that disturbs me deeply...i've come to believe we're integrating into a burning house."  what was a buring house in 1968 in now a towering inferno, and we should be happy about a black man inheriting an inferno?
